I laughed so much the first time I saw it. And the second!
When you have kids it happens! And it happens in restaurants, at the supermarket, in bed and at all sorts of inconvenient times.
But how would Jonathan Ross and the others in this video cope if it was their 10 year old, or their 15 year old or their 34 year old and they had no way of lifting them and nowhere to lay them down to clean up?
How would they feel if it happened just because there were no toilets in the whole town and their child was mortified by it? Because that is the reality faced by hundreds of thousands of disabled people.
Some people need a hoist and bench to get on the toilet or for changing purposes. Can you imagine the horror of needing to go, yet there being no way to access a toilet? Or, worse still, being unable to hold on and having no way to get cleaned up. Imagine catching the bus home like this.
It suddenly isn’t funny any more.
Poo is normal. Let’s help all people poo with dignity!
Please support the campaign for Changing Places toilets. Ask your local council to support it. Ask at tourist attractions, service stations, theatres and any place where you would reasonably expect to need the toilet.

Wouldn’t you want these facilities to be available if it was you who needed them?
One day it could be you.

I think it’s an absolute disgrace that so many towns are losing their public toilets. You never know when you might need them, either for yourself or your children, and to find there are none to use is terrible. We’re toilet training our toddler at the moment and if we’re going somewhere new we always research if there are toilets. If not we won’t go!

The sad but also encouraging thing is that the spaces are still standing. They just need a friendly local administration to bring them to life.

This is such a great way of using the video to highlight a very big problem with our society. It is such a shame that so many people are restricted because of accessibility. I wish you luck with your campaign.
